rejection..

the other day a friend confessed to being in love with me and i turned it away..

when looking for love i guess you kind of have to be ready to receive it in the first place..

cookin it slow..

ok so maybe this isnt the image of love in the direct interpersonal sense.. but love isnt only sex.. love can be in food too.. in work.. in sport.. in everything we do (puke puke sometimes i can be soooo corny)

point is - the best love often requires some good slow cookin.. dont rush to judge this soup by the raw pieces of chicken with the uncooked onion.. once ready it will be the most delightful thing you could have ever waited for.. and you never would have guessed by the first impression.. capish?

uri geller

i never really believed in uri geller's powers.. but i fell in love the other day.. hahah sounds like i'm talking about finally doing laundry after a month of recycling garments.. and so anyway i fell in love right and suddenly my watch stopped working.. my laptop crashed.. i got stuck in the elevator and my mobile phone went psycho..

what are the chances?

ever find yourself walking along the beach and suddenly fixating on the shells washed up on the shore? skimming them with your eyes for that one perfect creation?

isnt it funny how you never find it that way..

allan's blog is pretty much like a version of love without borders.. at least at the philosphical level..

the question i think many people need to ask themselves is what borders love has or should have.. should it be sourced from anywhere and in anyway.. is it indeed that sacred.. or should it be defined in its space and leave room for areas that our outside its scope..

you never know how a connection with someone is going to start.. its so unpredictable..

i was surfing some storms the other day when i noticed others of my kind in the same stratasphere.. they approached me and said hello.. or to be exact.. hello whats the time.. and hello - arent you cold?

its funny how people are often so worried about why someone might approach them and so suspicious that hello becomes quite a risk.. or even worse answering it..

ok so lets pro and con it..

its become so complicated and heavy..

pros..

it opens up a whole world of opportunity.. use the awkwardness to play with it.. have fun.. just because everyone else takes that first hello soooo seriously doesnt mean you have to..

boundaries..

so you test love right.. and with it you sample different forms of attraction and challenge your taste buds to a larger variety of flavours..

how then does one contract back to a limited pallet of traits.. how do you surrender the delights and the tricks that you have found along the way..

therein lies the secret.. you dont..

BUT when you no longer seek them.. when your current meal is suddenly complete.. and you're not left feeling "gee i feel like some.. right now".. i think.. maybe.. then you know..
